Connecting Canada through art:  Telling THE STORY OF OUR Communities

Communities across Canada are coming together to create a mural that will connect Canada through Art. Our city will create a section of the mural made up of 400 individual tiles that symbolize our community. This piece will become a stand alone mural showcased in Nose Creek Park and will become part of a visual time capsule for this national unified project of over 80,000 tiles.

We have been working with the Canada 150 Mosaic project team on this initiative for well over a year now and are excited that its finally time to tell our community about it and generate some excitement!” said Jennifer Benner, Chair of Creative Airdrie Society’s Board of Directors. “We are grateful to have the support of the Alberta Government’s Community Initiatives Program for Canada 150 projects. We are pleased to partner with the City of Airdrie to ensure that the mosaic becomes a enduring piece of its public Art program.

The Canada 150 Mosaic project is coming to Airdrie and Creative Airdrie want you to be a part of it!!!  We are looking for 330 community members to help paint the mural. Youth and newcomers to Canada are encouraged to join in on the fun!

Not a professional artist? Not a problem! We have people that can help you try something new!
